We’re excited to share the successful completion of our project with Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada | Innovation, and National Research Council Canada

As part of this important initiative, Marine Thinking delivered and deployed our Marine Guardian Boat to Mamaweswen, The North Shore Tribal Council (NSTC). Representing seven First Nations along the North Shore of Lake Huron, Mamaweswen is dedicated to promoting the cultural, economic, and environmental well-being of its member communities. We are honored to contribute to their efforts with our innovative solutions.

The deployment was carried out at Lake Dunlop and facilitated by Sonya Cloutier, Emergency Management Coordinator. We also had the privilege of meeting Allan Moffatt, CEO of Mamaweswen, whose leadership is instrumental in advancing regional goals. The Marine Guardian, equipped with cutting-edge autonomous technologies, will play a vital role in supporting search and rescue operations and driving innovation in the region.

While winter conditions and access restrictions posed some challenges, the deployment at Lake Dunlop marks a key milestone in this project. Despite the weather-related limitations, the collaboration and determination of everyone involved ensured a successful handover of the Marine Guardian.

We look forward to seeing the Guardian’s impact in enhancing safety and autonomy in the region. A heartfelt thank you to all the incredible individuals and organizations who contributed to this success! Together, we are driving innovation in marine technologies and empowering communities. 🙌
