Northern911 is seeking individuals to fill both Full-time and Part-time positions in the role of Alarm Monitoring Agent.

Compensation starts at $17.06/hour.
Premiums include an extra $1.00/hour when scheduled graveyard. Generous employee incentive program adds to the base salary.

The Alarm Monitoring Agent is responsible for responding to residential and commercial alarm signals, contacting responding parties, and dispatching the appropriate emergency agencies. All information must be accurate and comply with client instructions as well as company policy and procedures. The Alarm Monitoring Agent excels by maintaining the utmost professionalism, customer service and courtesy towards callers and clients.

Job Requirements
- Ability to work rotating shifts 24/7/365
- Fluent verbal and written skills in English and Bilingualism an asset
- Above average ability to do more than one thing at a time (multi-tasking abilities)
- Maintain confidentiality of private information
- Provide assistance to co-workers when needed
- Ability to type above 30 words per minute
- Criminal record check required upon hiring
- Meet spelling, grammar, and comprehension requirements from pre-employment test
- Proficient use of computers and telephones
- Handle stressful and emotionally charged situations
- Ability to retain emotional control, honesty, and productivity
- Work independently in a team environment
- Must have reliable transportation to meet shift requirements

Some of our team had the opportunity to attend the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) conference in Louisville, Kentucky and connect with other professionals. We’ve taken away new ideas and calls for action from breakout sessions and conversations with ECCs, vendors and other 911 leaders who share the mission to serve and protect our communities.
