Rimmer Technology Partners is an agile software development team developing our own apps and performing software development and support for clients on a consulting basis. We are based in rural Manitoba and are focused on agribusiness apps and clients.
We are currently looking for a UI/UX Specialist to join our team. This is an opportunity for individuals who are motivated and enthusiastic to work on a team that is committed to creating a stellar client experience.
Our team enjoys flexible working arrangements (hours/location) and puts a strong focus on professional development. Some in-office collaboration is expected for this role, however there is flexibility to work remotely to some degree which many of our employees take advantage of, living throughout Southern Manitoba.
Preference will be given to candidates within our operational area.
Role Tasks:
- Interaction design & development for client consulting projects and in-house software development
- Collaborate with Developers and clients to help discover the user needs and to help design the user journey across different platforms
- Create rapid iterations of design prototypes that can be tested and validated by clients and developers
- Accessible and Optimized Assets - Creation for use across different platforms and purposes
- Produce UI & UX output in the form of wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, user journey/map, user personas prototyping, and testing.
- Present ideas, concepts and designs based on UX/UI research, analyzing customer insights and usability findings
- Manage website for Rimmer Technology Partners & seedtrakr

- Design and implementation of user help/assistance, including software manuals, online help and video-based user support assets
- Become knowledgeable in the use of the software and an advocate for end users in order to provide an exceptional customer service experience
- Provide designs which adhere to current Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Applications is required
- Illustrator, Photoshop, inDesign, XD required
- Premiere, After Effects is an asset
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS, Bootstrap, and other wireframe.
- Knowledge in different marketing channels like print, email, web, and social media platforms.
- Production of promotional material for digital and print.
- Strong communication skills
- Customer-oriented approach based on respect and attention to detail
- Investigative mind and problem-solving skills
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to efficiently manage priorities
- Ability to work on multiple issues simultaneously, in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
- Team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment
