Walk into the National Audio Video store, located in west Edmonton, and one of the first things you’ll notice is the friendly, family-like atmosphere that encourages confidence in the product, the people and the entire customer relationship. You will also notice the newly renovated store and showrooms housing state of the art audio/video equipment. That is all the result of a lot of hard work and
effort on the part of John Walker, the owner and manager of the mid-to-high-end consumer electronics store. John’s ties to National Audio Video go all the way back to 1983, when the store was called National Music. He approached George Nikel and subsequently found himself in his employ. Over the next few years, John learned all about the buying and selling of consumer electronics. The hands on and working knowledge of the products. In January 1997, George sold National Music to John, thus becoming, “National Audio Video.”
Since then, National Audio Video has grown significantly to include a number of different product lines in the areas of audio, video, automation, accessories, and more. The showroom and sales staff are complemented by a full service custom installation team who are well-equipped to handle many types of projects, both big and small. In 2020 after 23 years of owning National Audio Video, John retired and our Project Manager James (who has been with the company over 20 years) took over the business. The National Audio Video staff’s expertise is supplemented through product sessions put on by supplier representatives, supplier education trips and trade shows. The customer base for National Audio Video is primarily the Edmonton area but there are customers who come from Southern Alberta, Northern Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia. A toll-free number helps these customers stay in contact with the store, which is in our new location just off Mayfield Road and 104a Ave. The location offers ample on-site parking in front of the store. The staff at National Audio Video invite you to come visit our new showroom and check out the many product lines being carried there.
