How Do Google Ads Work?
Google Ads are an auction. Every time someone searches on Google, you and your competitors will bid on that person's click to your website
But highest bid doesn't always win
This is because Google knows that people use it to get quality results to their searches, and that's also true for ads
If people searching on Google don't get results that help them, they'll stop using Google
So it's more important to Google to be useful than to bow to the highest bidder
If Google stopped caring about giving relevant results and just took the highest bidder, their whole business model would fail
You need your ads to match up with the keywords you're bidding on, and your website to match up with your ads. Then your website should be highly useful to visitors who go there
If your website sucks, you'll pay more
If your ads suck, you'll pay more
If you choose to show up for the word "roofer" or "insulation" but your ads don't mention those things, you'll pay more
You should also give Google a goal or an action that you want people to take, such as calling you or submitting your form
The more people complete your desired action, the more useful you are
The more useful you are, the less you'll pay for clicks
That's why it matters who is looking after your Google Ads
If this is your first time hearing these things, Google Ads could be a struggle
And if you already know it but don't know how to USE IT, Google Ads could be a struggle
Don't struggle
