As a Google Certified Partner, Atlas Solutions has always been excited to support out clients with either Google Workspace or Microsoft M365.

Many businesses only think of Microsoft, but Google has advantages: It is cheaper, more secure, works with Android, Mac, iOS, and Windows. And is works seamlessly with Microsoft Office. Clients get 2 Tb of storage per user.

Atlas is in the middle of the pack (45th percentile) of all Google Workspace partners worldwide--not bad for a boutique IT company from Alberta.

If you're interested in what Google Workspace can do for you, then give us a call or read our White Paper:

Frustrated by Chrome giving you an "AI Overview" instead of a good match for your search?

Me too! I often want a source that I can cite in my research not what Gemini finds as a consensus answer.

Here's how to change Chrome to remove the AI Overview option:
1. In Chrome, go to the 3 dot menu (top right) and choose Settings.
2. Choose "Search Engine."
3. Click the right pointing ">" beside "Manage search engines and site search."
4. Under "Site search" click "Add" to install a new Search engine option. A new window will open.
5. Call the new Search Site anything you would like, "Like Google without AI Overview".
6. Give it a shortcut of google.com (Note that on one instance, it wouldn't accept this and I had to use "google.com/")
7. Fill in the URL with this exact string: {google:baseURL}/search?udm=14&q=%s
The completed window is in the picture below.
8. Click "Add" and you should be back in the main "Search Engine" window again.
9. Click the 3-dots beside your new Search Site entry and make it the default. It will be moved to the upper section named "Search engines" and be listed in bold font as the default.

You can always go back to the default Google search engine from this list if you want.

You've probably heard of "The Internet of Things", but what is it? As a business owner/manager why should you be concerned?

Very simply, if you run a business of any size or complexity, there's probably a lot of chatter going on among your network. Your HVAC thermostats can connect to your file server; your fish tank can connect to your email.

Why would they do this? The answer is simple: Hackers.

Many devices in your office may not be all that secure because they weren't built to be secure. But there's a simple way to change this. The answer is "Virtual Networks."

Do You Use the Same Password for Multiple Logins? Time to STOP!

By now everyone should know not to pick passwords that are the names of their cats, or their hometown and anniversary date. But you also shouldn't use the same password for every one of your online accounts. Why?

If one of your accounts is hacked and your password compromised, then it isn't very hard for the hacker to try your identity out on a very large number of other sites. Very soon, the hacker has a good idea of where you live, possibly where you work, maybe where you bank, your interests and hobbies. Soon you are, as they say in gaming, "PWNED".

Don't think you're at risk? Go to this site and enter your password(s) to see: https://zurl.co/jZUri (Yes, this is a safe site).

Unless you just discovered email a couple of days ago, hances are at least one of your emails will show up here. But even if it didn't it probably will at some point.

Have I Been Pwned allows you to check whether your email address has been exposed in a data breach.

Managing a business means managing risk. One of the biggest and growing risks out there for any business are cyber-attackers.
Do you know what your risk looks like? Are you optimistic you can survive an attack? Or are you flying blind?

To help you out, Atlas has partnered with an Insurance Underwriter that specializes in Cybersecurity. Atlas can now pre-qualify you for Cyberinsurance.

We’ll conduct an assessment of your business and prepare you a report. That report will tell you:
1. Yes, you pre-qualify for Cyber-insurance with at least one underwriter. You can go to your broker and fast-track directly to a quote for coverage, or
2. No, you don’t qualify for Cyber-insurance yet, but we have a blueprint for what we need to do to get you qualified. Atlas can either work with you directly, or work with your MSP or in-house IT team to implement the steps to reach qualification.

We think Cybersecurity provides real value to our clients. To help you out, we’ll give our first 10 customers a full Cybersecurity Assessment for an introductory price of $250! If it is, click below and give us 5 minutes of your time.
It will also identify any “low hanging fruit” that can easily and quickly reduce your risk, and possibly lower your premiums.
And even if you decide not to purchase insurance, you can have a lower risk profile to reduce the change of a successful attack, a lower impact and increased survivability from an attack.

To get started, we can perform a “survey assessment” of your business. This is a no-cost sampler of how your business fares against other businesses in your sector. As you can see from the list below, we’ve already prepared dozens of sample reports for our clients and other interested businesses.
