After 9 incredible years at , we are saying thank you to Wayne Reesor as he steps into a well-earned retirement.

From Operations to Project Management to Warehouse and Procurement, Wayne’s journey has spanned multiple roles, but what never changed was how he showed up for the people around him. If something needed attention, Wayne was already on it. If someone needed support, he was there without hesitation.

He had a way of making an impact that went beyond the day to day. The kind of presence you rely on without thinking about it. Over the years, Wayne became someone the team trusted and depended on in ways both big and small. The kind of person who quietly keeps things moving and makes work easier for everyone around him.

And of course, there were the breakfasts. A simple gesture that became something everyone looked forward to. A chance to connect and start the day together.

Wayne, thank you for everything you have given to Sunco. You leave behind a lasting mark on this team.

Sunco Connect Vancouver is a wrap. Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Sheraton Wall Centre last week.

Cybersecurity and AI drove most of the conversations throughout the day. The keynote on breach preparedness got people thinking about the gaps in their response plans, and the AI panel went deep on the practical side of getting useful output from AI tools. Both sessions sparked exactly the kind of discussion these events are built for.

Workplace peer support is one of the more underused tools organizations have. It is not about replacing professional help or adding another HR program. According to the CMHA, peer support works because it creates accessible, everyday moments of connection, often before challenges become crises. It is grounded in mutual trust, shared experience, and the simple act of listening without judgment.
