🚁 We recently wrapped up our RPAS Upscaling Program at the beautiful Historic Hat Creek Ranch, BC

Participants developed practical expertise in:
- Mission planning and geospatial data capture (RGB, LiDAR)
- Data management and mapping workflows
- Processing and generating high-quality outputs, including 2D/3D orthomosaic maps and geographic representations

This program provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen applied skills in creating precise spatial data for real-world applications. 🌍

📣 We’ve expanded Canada’s drone safety rules to allow for lower-risk beyond visual line-of-sight (BVLOS) operations. 🎉

The new rules come into effect in two phases:

As of April 1, 2025, you can take the Level 1 Complex exam and apply for an RPAS Operator Certificate (RPOC) through the Drone Management Portal.

On November 4, 2025, you can fly under the new rules once you have received the appropriate training and certification.
