This iMac A1418 (Retina 4K, 2017) model came into the shop refusing to boot at all due to a failing mechanical hard drive. We got it cracked open cleanly, upgraded it from a 1TB to a blazing-fast 2TB Solid State Drive, migrated all the user data and settings over seamlessly, and buttoned it back up looking and running like new.

Special thanks to Ross Towing in London, ON for giving us this opportunity to decipher and figure out why the range on this remote was reduced/intermittent ranged.

Tow Truck drivers will always have a special place in my heart because I used to be one. Safety is always a first priority when it comes to towing and this remote increased the safety priority. They use these remotes to move either the boom or the winch line, which helps eliminate a lot of back and forth movement with the operator on the side of the road.

Hello everyone!

For those of you that have been pushing MacDroid Technologies through word of mouth, tagging the business and also just being super supportive, I want to say THANK YOU!!!!

Never would I have ever thought I’d be doing something I love on my own time!

Now, I have a confession. I feel like it seems we are not answering our Facebook messages fast enough. This is because Facebook for Business is the worst platform to be able to reply sometimes because it seems to crash most of the time.

This case was an absolute delight to tackle! Our customer's laptop had refused to turn on, and despite replacing the charger, it still wouldn't budge. It turned out that the charging port was severely damaged and the new charger was faulty too. With some meticulous diagnostics, precise soldering, and a dash of optimism, we've successfully brought everything back online! Given the laptop held cherished pictures and files with no removable hard drive, this was a critical fix.
