Education series - Is Your Water Bottle Actually Clean?
Probably not.
A bottle can look clean while moisture and leftover residue quietly build up in places you can't easily see, such as inside the cap, along the straw, and around the seal.
Bacteria need moisture, warmth, and something to feed on. Leave a bottle in a warm bag with a little leftover juice, and you've created conditions that can support bacterial growth.
The good news is that prevention is simple. Wash your bottle daily, take it apart so every part can be cleaned, and let it air dry completely before using it again.
