HECK Media is looking to expand our team! We are in need of someone familiar with the WordPress and Shopify platforms to help handle the workload of a growing company. This will be a non-traditional position as you will be able to create your own schedule, work from wherever you like and have the opportunity to grow with the company if you so choose to.

Position Overview
We work with companies to establish a solid online foundation that expresses their brand's values, mission, and product/services in a fun and attractive way. Your job will be to create front-end website designs that accomplish the goals of our clients and maintain the values of HECK.

Responsibilities
Self-motivate and accomplish tasks within the time frame provided so that you can be trusted to create your own schedule.
Work as part of a team and take responsibility for communicating needs & ideas so that the team can work well and efficiently allowing time and location freedom.
Design unique and attractive websites that help our client's target audiences feel connected to the product or service they are offering.

Qualifications
Experience working with WordPress & Shopify
Knowledge of incorporating marketing concepts into design
Familiar with basic SEO practices & image preparation
Must have own computer and access to internet
Experience using Elementor is considered an asset

**This position is not a salaried position. Your compensation will be decided based on experience and paid per project. There will be an opportunity to grow with the company for the right person.**

I digress.

Honestly though, keep it simple.

With our world constantly getting busier, and with more people, corporations, and advertisements fighting for our attention, simplicity wins as far as HECK is concerned.

The videos we see are getting shorter and more targeted to grab our attention and we believe your website basically needs to do that too.

Because let’s face it - our attention is short! And our willingness to sift through piles of overwhelming information on a website is even shorter.

So, use of white space, well written & concise text, consistent and easy to recognize branding (colours, fonts, accents, etc) all fall under the category of simplicity - and is very much a core of our work.
