Working on some new merch for - just in time for summer. I also recently joined the reading glasses club - I suspect the old monitor machine might be responsible, which makes me appreciate my sketch pad a little bit more. Happy Thursday friends.✌🏼

Excited to share the new branding for Mocean Yoga.

The logo was inspired by Susie’s deep connection to the ocean, movement, mindfulness, and the story of Matsya, the fish who became enlightened after listening to the teachings of yoga. We also drew from her personal connection to the sea through her late father, a fisherman, and her tradition of offering “fish kisses” in class to honour her parents.

It’s always a privilege to work with local businesses and help bring meaningful stories to life through design. Thank you, Susie, for trusting me with this special project.

True story - my best friend and I were lost in the Timlalin Desert for a quick minute, and a man appeared like a mirage with camels for us to ride as he showed us the way. One of the best days of my life!

Here’s a little gritty camel. Happy Friday friends.✌🏼

This is your friendly reminder that billionaires have enough money and probably don’t need your twenty bucks for another rocket ship or gold-plated pool toy.

Meanwhile, your local makers are out here hand-stitching, hand-pouring, hand-foraging, and occasionally hand-wrangling toddlers while creating genuinely beautiful things.

Support your neighbours. Shop small. Keep billionaires mildly inconvenienced. Feel free to share.❤️

I recently took a trip that led me into pockets of the world I never thought I’d see, and honestly, it arrived at exactly the right time.

Truth be told this past year has challenged me creatively in ways I’ve never been before. I’ve watched our industry move rapidly toward convenience, automation, speed, and “free.” Words like streamlined and efficiency get thrown around, and somewhere along the way, it feels like we’ve forgotten that creating something is actually allowed to take a bit of time.

Standing beneath Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel ceiling, looking at work by Duchamp, Degas, and Miró, I kept thinking: NONE of this was created because it was convenient. It exists because it is important. Human hands created, shaped and gave it purpose. It lasts.

We live in a world with more freedom, convenience and spare time than ever before, yet so many of us feel overwhelmed, disconnected, and creatively unfulfilled.

I don’t know exactly what the future of design looks like, but I do know this: I won’t reduce my ethics, creativity, or environmental values because the world wants everything faster.

I still sketch my ideas in a notepad. Mostly pencil, sometimes ink if I’m feeling extra bold. After 26 years, I’m fast at what I do, but painfully slow compared to an app.

I’ll be here for the people who choose creativity, connection, and intention over shortcuts, but only for as long as you’ll have me. And if you made it this far, thank you for listening.✌🏼

Back in the saddle after a little holiday break and feeling extra grateful for all the projects rolling in lately, including this little dapper doggy. Give me a hand drawn, sketchy graphic opportunity with movement and charm any day.

A little note as I head into the second half of the year: if you’ve been thinking about working together, now’s the time to reach out. Come fall, this space is going to shift a little and I’ll be taking on very limited projects moving forward.

Happy Tuesday friends.✌🏼

A well-designed logo set is about far more than just aesthetics. Every mark is intentionally and strategically created based on how it will actually be used in the real world.

Careful consideration went into spacing, line weight, and scalability to ensure the logo will reproduce beautifully when engraved. These small details make the biggest difference in achieving optimal results - and that’s why I ask you a zillion questions before we work together. Happy Monday friends.✌🏼
