On June 27, 2025, Hikvision Canada was ordered by the Canadian federal government to cease operations in Canada due to national security concerns. Hikvision promptly submitted an application to the Attorney General of Canada and the Federal Court seeking a judicial review, and requested that the court not enforce the order until the application was decided. In the meantime, Hikvision has continued operations, maintaining strong support for existing customer sites across the country.
On September 22, 2025, the Canadian Federal Court dismissed Hikvision’s request to set aside the June order. As a result, Hikvision is required to cease all operations by October 2025. The company has stated it will continue to challenge the court’s decision to uphold the government’s directive. As new information becomes available to the public, we will ensure you remain informed.
