Wi-Fi Mesh system Upgrade

Issue

The customer had an older mesh Wi-Fi system that no longer provided adequate coverage. In addition, the manufacturer had discontinued software updates and support for the system.

Diagnosis

The existing mesh network was built on outdated Wi-Fi hardware and technology. It provided limited coverage, lower throughput, and lacked the performance required for modern devices. The system also offered no practical upgrade path or scalability for future expansion.

Actions Taken

Installed and configured a new TP-Link Omada Wi-Fi 6 Mesh network using Omada Outdoor access points and an Omada hardware controller.

Results

The customer now has:

* Reliable Wi-Fi coverage across the entire property
* High-performance 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6 connectivity
* Seamless mesh roaming between access points
* Centralized monitoring and management of the entire wireless network and connected devices
* A scalable system that can be easily expanded in the future

Wireless 🛜 Bridge

The client had two separate houses on the property, each with its own internet provider connection. The goal was to connect both buildings into a single network and eliminate the need for two monthly internet bills for both convenience and cost savings.

A wireless bridge was installed between the houses, along with access points in the second house to provide full Wi-Fi coverage indoors. Devices sensitive to connection quality, such as TVs and a gaming console, were connected via wired Ethernet.

The homeowner can now fully use the internet in the second house without paying two separate monthly provider fees.

Juke – Multi-Room Audio System

The client needed a whole-home audio system with a convenient way to control and stream audio throughout the house. For this purpose, a Juke Audio – 12 Channel (6 Zone) Multi-Room Audio Amplifier was installed.

The homeowner can now wirelessly stream music from any app on a phone or tablet through Juke’s Apple AirPlay compatible inputs, or directly via Spotify Connect or DLNA.

Up to 4 people can simultaneously play different audio in any combination of rooms over Wi-Fi.

CNC Router Control PC 🤖

Issue:
The computer controlling the CNC wood router was freezing and frequently crashing with a blue screen.

Diagnosis:
The SSD drive in the computer was failing and required replacement.

Actions Taken:
Since the PC had a large amount of specialized software installed, the fastest solution was to create a full system image of the operating system and deploy it to a new SSD.

The computer is now operating reliably, and the business can continue normal operations.

Issue:

Lenovo ThinkBook 15-IIL 20SM

Issue:
No image on the laptop display.

Diagnosis:
The LCD panel backlight had failed.

Actions Taken:
Since the backlight is integrated into the display panel and cannot be replaced separately, a new Full HD LCD screen was ordered and installed.

The client can now use the laptop normally again.

Issue with the local network in the house.

Issue:
The client reports that after renovations in one of the rooms, the internet wall outlet is not working.

Diagnosis:
It was discovered that during the renovation work, one of the cables feeding this outlet was damaged.
There was a “spaghetti” of network and TV cables inside the low-voltage panel.

Actions Taken:
The length of the existing cable allowed the damaged section to be cut out, and the outlet was re-terminated with an RJ45 module.
The old 100 Mbps network switch was replaced with a new 1 Gbps switch.
Minor cable management was performed.

Result:
The client now has a local network speed of 1 Gbps at this outlet.

65” Samsung Frame TV Installation

During the home renovation stage, a recessed mounting box and cable channels were pre-installed.
After the renovation was completed, it was finally time for the second stage — installing the TV.

All communication cables and power lines were routed completely out of sight, with additional spare connections included for future needs.

We were able to achieve exactly what the manufacturer intended — this TV truly looks like a piece of art! 🎨📺

Interesting fact:
You can set any image you like, and it will appear on the TV when it’s turned off — just like a real painting!

Lenovo ThinkCentre M83 i7-4770

Issue:
The computer is noisy and sometimes shuts down.

Diagnosis:
The CPU temperature is significantly above normal. The thermal paste has dried out due to age and no longer provides sufficient heat transfer.

Actions Taken:
• Cleaned all fans and cooling components.
• Replaced the thermal paste with new compound.
• Performed diagnostics.

After cleaning and replacing the thermal paste, the CPU temperature is within normal range and the computer is functioning properly.
