Important!! πππ
I have been coming across a lot of these lately so I figured it worth a quick post....
If you keep your laptop plugged in all the time, the lithium-ion battery can chemically degrade causing flammable and toxic gases to build up inside its sealed pouch. This is dangerous for several reasons...
Its a fire hazard as if the casing is punctured or fails the battery can spontaneously combust and explode.
The expansion warps the laptop case and puts pressure on components causing them to fail also...
The gas trapped inside the battery is toxic if inhaled.
If you suspect that your battery may be "spicy" (yes thats what we call it lol)
