We didn't build ALFIE to react to the EU AI Act. We built it to already meet it.
Starting tomorrow, the Act's transparency rules become enforceable law, and Ireland's AI Office opens as the national enforcement coordinator. Businesses everywhere, including outside the EU, are now expected to show where their AI generated content and decisions come from, and who's accountable for them.
That expectation isn't new to us. It's the foundation ALFIE was built on from day one.
Every fact ALFIE publishes is cryptographically signed at the source. Nothing goes live without a verifiable trail back to where it came from. Nothing gets published without a human in the loop approving it first. This wasn't added to satisfy a regulation that just arrived. It was the standard we held ourselves to before the requirement existed, because we believed verifiable, accountable data was where AI governance was always heading.
That's the advantage of building for trust instead of building for compliance. Compliance chases the current rule. Trust architecture holds up regardless of which rule comes next.
Our clients don't have to scramble every time a new requirement lands, because the infrastructure underneath their data was already built to answer the question regulators and AI systems are increasingly going to ask: can you prove this, and who stands behind it.
We built that answer in from the start. So our clients don't have to build it under pressure later.
