HEADS UP FOLKS: While plugging in some USB Drives today.
A burning smell and warning appeared. Indicating that one USB was unable to connect.

Potential Cause:
Found that the burning smell was caused by excessive heat melting the plastic housing or internal components due to a fault with the USB device.

Possibly an internal short circuit, in the USB drive drawing too much power, generating excessive heat.

My general recommendation for safety. Would be to not leave them inserted into your computer. Most likely may have been an older USB stick. But going to keep them out until needed.👴

DUST ACCUMULATION: Dust and dirt can block air vents, fans, and heat sinks, reducing airflow and causing your computer to overheat. A cause sudden shutdowns of your system.

FAN EFFICIENCY: Dust on fans can make them less efficient, leading to higher temperatures and potentially causing fans to wear out faster.
