I was grateful to join the Annual General Assembly of the Territory Government in Fort Resolution earlier this week. The ATG plays a vital role in advancing the environmental, social, political, cultural, and economic priorities of its Member First Nations: Deninu Kue First Nation, Łutselk’e Dene First Nation, Yellowknives Dene First Nation/YKDFN and Tthebatthı Dënesųłıné Nation. Mahsi cho to the ATG for welcoming me, Minister Macdonald, and staff.

In a historic move, Japan is set to become the first country to beam solar energy from space to Earth by 2025! 🇯🇵🔋

Through a groundbreaking project backed by JAXA (Japan’s space agency), satellites equipped with massive solar panels will collect sunlight in orbit — where it’s available 24/7, unaffected by weather or night. 🌞🛰

The energy will be converted into microwaves or laser beams and transmitted to Earth-based stations, where it’s turned back into electricity.

This could solve one of clean energy’s biggest problems: consistency. 🌍⚡️

🧪 Japan has been testing this since 2009 — and now, they’re ready for orbit. If successful, it’s a game-changer for renewable energy, climate action, and space tech all at once.

Canadian physicists have officially unveiled a prototype cold fusion reactor capable of producing clean, continuous energy at near-room temperatures — without harmful radiation or nuclear waste. Unlike traditional fusion that requires millions of degrees of heat, this new system uses magnetic plasma confinement and advanced quantum catalysts to trigger stable fusion reactions in a small, controlled chamber. The result is a steady release of energy that can be sustained indefinitely — a feat long considered impossible.

If successfully scaled, this could mean:
- Unlimited zero-emission energy for cities, factories, and vehicles
- No radioactive waste or meltdown risk
- Drastically lower energy costs and carbon-free power generation

Scientists are calling it the “Holy Grail of clean energy” — a technology that could end the world’s dependence on fossil fuels and completely transform the global energy landscape.
