Case Study: With the cost of rent and expenses increasing, many seniors on fixed incomes find it challenging to make ends meet. Getting on the waitlist for affordable housing means filling in the paperwork and being interviewed multiple times, once for each HMB you apply for. This process can be overwhelming.

Soon, Calgary seniors can apply for over 50 properties at once, online or in person. The four initial HMBs will share the intake process workload and have a consolidated tool to manage the waitlist based on priority rating.

We're thrilled to be the partner developing the software for this new, simplified application process. We're working with a fantastic team of caring people, and we can't wait to see the positive impact this will have on Calgary seniors.

As Alberta's population ages and rent increases, many seniors cannot afford a place to live. Alnoor Dhalla and I (Doug Wagner) attended the grand opening of the Silvera for Seniors Livingstone Terrace apartments. Arlene Adamson (CEO) gave a passionate speech about the growing size of the waitlists and the action required. Funding and representation were from all levels of government and, of course, Silvera.

Seeing the impact firsthand gives more meaning to our team as we complete software projects for organizations like these. How we treat our most vulnerable reflects who we are as Calgarians, Albertans and Canadians.
