With the days stretching to their fullest and the sunshine stealing my focus, I’ve been a little quieter around here these past couple of months. (I hope you’ve been able to sneak away from your screen and enjoy a little summer too.☀️)

The last little while has been full in the very best way. It reminded me a little of summers as a kid, when your agenda was wide open and you simply followed wherever the day took you.

It all started with a dream trip with my hubby through France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Italy. ✈️ We spent our days wandering new cities, drinking lots of espresso ☕, walking absolutely everywhere we could, and somehow always convincing ourselves we had time for one more stop before heading back to the hotel...

Not long after we got home, we welcomed two foster puppies into our lives. 🐶🤍 They kept us on our toes, made us laugh every single day, and reminded us yet again that life doesn’t need to be so structured.

The rest of the summer has been a little bit of everything... beautiful client projects 💻, evenings spent soaking up Calgary’s sunshine, family time 🩷, curling training, mountain adventures ⛰️, and a broken shoulder after a biking accident that definitely wasn’t part of the plan. 😅 (Thankfully, recovery is going really well!)

Somewhere in the middle of it all, I found myself feeling incredibly grateful. For this business, the amazing clients who trust me with such an important part of their business, and this little community here that continues to cheer me on. 🫶

When I started Endeavor, I hoped it would continue becoming a business I loved. But I also hoped it would become a business that made room for slow mornings, spontaneous plans, afternoons outside, and time with the people I love. This has been the first summer where I’ve truly felt that in a whole heart and body kind of way. 🙏

☀️ Colours of July 🏖️

One thing I’ve learned as a designer? Inspiration rarely starts behind a computer screen.

It shows up in little moments instead.

Fresh lemons on the counter. A striped beach towel. Sunlight dancing across the water. That perfect shade of turquoise you can’t stop looking at.

I’m constantly collecting colours, textures, and little details like these. They often become the starting point for future brands, websites, or simply a reminder that great design is inspired by the world around us.

Most people think branding starts with a logo.

A recent website refresh for ✨ Light At The End Of The Clutter ✨

I’m so excited to finally share this one!

Lisa already had such a strong foundation for her business and such meaningful work behind her brand. Our goal with this refresh was to elevate the online experience so the website felt more aligned with the calm, supportive, welcoming experience she creates for her clients in real life.

Together, we focused on:
• refining the homepage structure and flow
• simplifying navigation and improving clarity
• creating a more intentional, elevated visual direction
• refining typography, spacing, imagery, and hierarchy
• building a brand new About page with more personal storytelling
• restructuring the Services page for a smoother client experience
• integrating clearer calls-to-action throughout the site
• adding subtle movement and interaction details

One of the most common things I see on small business websites is a beautiful homepage that never quite clearly says who it helps, what it helps with, and where the service is offered.

When that information is vague, Google has a harder time understanding your business… and potential clients have a harder time knowing they’re in the right place.

Most visitors are busy. They are quickly scanning to see if your work is relevant to them.

Clear homepage messaging helps:

✨ A strategic Squarespace website designed to grow with a business.

One of my favourite types of projects is helping service providers move from a DIY website into something that feels a little more intentional, structured, and ready for the next stage of their business.

Many of the entrepreneurs I work with started their sites themselves (which I genuinely love). It’s often the perfect way to get something online quickly while a business is still taking shape.

But at a certain point, the website that helped you get started may not be the one that helps you grow.

For this custom Squarespace design, the goal was to create a website that felt simple and approachable to maintain, while also being structured in a way that supports strong organic search visibility on Google.

Instead of building a large, overwhelming website right away, we focused on creating a clean, strategic foundation:

• a clear page structure
• distinct service pages to support SEO
• keyword-aligned titles and descriptions
• optimized images and alt text
• intuitive navigation so visitors can easily find what they need

The result is a website that feels calm and minimal on the surface, but is doing meaningful work behind the scenes to help the right people discover the business through search.

Design-wise, we leaned into soft natural tones, wildflower-inspired imagery, and organic shapes to create something warm, grounded, and welcoming.

A gentle reminder that websites don’t need to be massive to be effective.

Sometimes the most impactful thing you can do is start with a thoughtful, strategic structure that can grow alongside your business over time.

It should quietly support your work by helping the right people find you.
