When did I drop my beauty routine?

When you work from home and only have videos meetings a couple times a week, it's easy to fall into the jammies/no makeup/no hairstyle routine.

In fact, it saves you 30 mins a day!

But the cost is much more.

When you're not taking the time for self-care or to look your best, your self image decreases.

As an entrepreneur and business owner, your looks can be the first thing to go.

Some people may not care. For me, taking the time to look good means I'm showing up feeling good, confidently and ready to do business.

I've got a little challenge going to take the time for hair, makeup and dressing well every day.

And I'll be sharing the pics! I appreciate your support as I reclaim my mojo.

The first snow arrived early this year… and I'm definitely not ready. ☃️

But maybe that’s the lesson — we’re never really ready. Not for winter, not for launches, not for the next big thing.

So I'm dedicating the impending winter season to: 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗜𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻. ❄️
Time to finish what’s been waiting and make progress one cozy, coffee-fuelled step at a time.

It’s the season where we get to dress up and play pretend — trying on new costumes, masks, and makeup to be someone else for the night. I mean, did anyone else in their 20's used to wear glitter to the clubs for some sparkle?! I sure did!

Hello September! It’s Virgo time!

I love this time of year as it’s the perfect time to work on your SOP’s (standard operating procedures) and create or improve your current systems.

Oddly enough, I went from being a control freak who had to do everything myself, to a business owner who delegates amicably to my VA. This is a major breakthrough for me!

I don’t need to do everything myself and trusting someone else with tasks in my business has been lifesaving.

BBQs + Business = the best combo! 🍔✨

Last night I headed off to a client’s team BBQ and it reminded me of one of the best parts of my work — the amazing people I get to collaborate with. It was such a fun evening with great food, lots of laughs, and finally meeting more of the team in person.

I always feel so grateful when clients include me in events like this. It’s a reminder that the work we do together goes beyond websites and marketing — it’s about building real relationships and being part of a bigger team. 💛

A huge shoutout to Breathe Parkour Calgary!

Coach Alex went above and beyond to make my shy, introverted kid feel comfortable — and now Damian is officially signed up for their 8-week Homeschooling Parkour Program. 🙌

Breathe Parkour is truly one of Calgary’s hidden gems. If you’ve got kids (or you’re a kid-at-heart), I highly recommend giving it a try. The energy in that space is incredible — fun, welcoming, and 100% worth it.

p.s. Hopefully next time I'll get a photo of Damian actually participating 😎 I just didn't want him to feel too much on the spot for his first class.

Hello July! This is the mid-year marker for business in Canada.

Are you meeting your business targets? Have you accomplished your business goals? Are you on track for the rest of 2025?

I always find that by July I need a rest. I need to regroup and take a break and re-energize.

If something I planned to do didn’t get done, then it’s quite possible that I need to adjust my strategy and objectives. Now is a good time for reviewing lessons learned and taking an honest look at where you are.

There’s no point in just pushing through something that’s not working. Take time this July to figure things out.
