We just launched a new way for you to build community at work.

Right now, only 21% of employees are engaged globally, and disengagement is costing companies billions in lost productivity.

And while recognition drives engagement (employees who receive it are 2.7x more engaged), it’s not enough on its own.

What’s missing? A place for people to actually connect around shared interests, identities, and experiences.

That’s why we built the next generation of Spaces in Kudos. 🪴

Because great culture isn’t just built. It’s cultivated. Rooted in recognition, nurtured by connection – community blooms in Spaces.

We need to stop acting like manager enablement starts and ends with a promotion.

Giving someone direct reports does not automatically make them ready to lead people.

🎙️In a recent conversation with Rebecca Taylor from she shared a framing we can’t stop thinking about: think of HR like a closet full of tools. Or a store full of resources.

✅ HR can build the frameworks, the training, the processes, the support systems. But managers still have to know what to reach for. That’s the real gap.

❌ Manager enablement is not just handing someone a title and hoping they figure it out.

It’s:
👉 Knowing what good management looks like in your org
👉 Building practical frameworks managers can use
👉 Helping managers understand their people
👉 Making support easy to access in the moments it’s needed

📣 HR cannot do the job for managers. 📣

But managers should never be left to do it alone.

A lot of organizations do have resources for managers. They have guidance on feedback, performance conversations, recognition, communication, development planning, psychological safety, and change management.

But if managers don’t know those tools exist, don’t know when to use them, or don’t know what their team actually needs, none of it matters.

The best manager enablement strategy is not more theory. It’s clearer tools, better judgment, and real support in the flow of work.
