October Goals - In no Speciic Order 🙆🏾‍♀️

There's always something so refreshing about the first of the month. It means I suddenly have the motivation to do things that have been on my mind for a while. 👀🤣

The list is much bigger than this, but 💫 small wins 💫 are my motto for this month! Each of these items have their own smaller tasks attached to them, I'm just taking it one at a time!

What I'm MOST excited about is the brand photoshoots! I have so many ideas in my head and I LOVE making moodboards!

I'm absolutely thrilled! My schedule is jam-packed with brand projects all the way through the end of the year. ⭐️

I'm truly grateful for everyone's support and I can't wait to dive into these projects! 😍

In this world of technology and boundless access it's important to take presentation and professionalism seriously if you are in the art world.

The stigma around art as a profession has only a lucky few finding success doing it and the rest "starving" or unmotivated.

Now we have so many avenues to share our art but how you share it is so important becasue who you are as an artisit also matters as much as your art.

Brand is not a buzzword. How you present yourself can negatively impart your success as well as propel it forward.

Honestly, blame Microsoft for confusing us all 🤣

👉🏾 Typeface: This is what we typically thought of as "Fonts". These are the different 💫 styles 💫 of text!

Eg: Ariel, Times New Roman, Calibri, , Comic Sans, Century

👉🏾 Fonts: These are the different WAYS each style can be used!

Eg: Thin, Italic, Semi Bold, Bold, Bold Italic

Please Note: 📃

➡️ Typefaces can have multiple Fonts

➡️ Not every Typeface will have every font variation. (Sometimes just Regular and Bold)

➡️ Some Typefaces come in ONE Font.

For example: If I design a custom Typeface for your brand, it will have ONE font because I've made it myself, and it won't exist anywhere else.

Hello, everyone, I want to take a moment to say THANK you to all my amazing clients and everyone that has shown their support to my business that keeps on growing!

1. I organized my first Brand shoot with &

2. Rebranded the website of the Poet Laureate 🧡

3. Made my first 2K Month

4. Booked to design 4 Websites in the next 3 months.

So I'm going to need a break after this is done🤣
I won't be taking on any new clients until all my projects are done and I come back from my holiday and focus on my art and other projects ☺️❤️

Poetic Designers will be back taking clients starting in August (maybe earlier!)

I can still take inquiries, BUT only for projects with August timelines!

We are beyond hyped to be a part of the season 3 rebrand!

The important part of rebrand is to stay true to the audience of the brand, values , brand voice, and more.

With digital portrait art provided by @ and all of Lamar's input and feedback, we were able to nail it on the second try!

We went with the basic re-brand package:

- Audience Analysis
- Custom Podcast Cover & Guest templates (main assignment)
- Typography
- Brand Colours
- Custom Brand marks
- TikTok & IG Post Template

Extras:
- Custom gifs (animated) to use on social media such as TikTokThese are able to be searched on social media platforms.

Merch Mockups (these were not asked for, I add them as a part of my portfolio to show brand and design diversity also it just looks cool and is nice for a client to see sometimes)

Packaging and merchandise design is of course available on request 😆👍🏾

I've had the pleasure of working with so many artists and organisation's and my art and network are better for it!

As someone with social anxiety I know how hard it cane be to not just work with others but to promote yourself and express your ideas as well.

There will come moments where this is easier when you meet an artist whose work really excitesld you and you get to talking!

It doesn't necessarily have to be another artisit but things like: Your fav venues, places to work, places to shop, resources you like to use and more!

These connections fuel not only you art but help you with your confidence as well! Another easy way is going to local markets and shows! Take videos and tag them!

So like, comments and start ✨️GENUINE✨️ conversations you never know who you'll meet or what you can create together!

Project Update!

These event posters were Commissioned by .creative for a set of creative community events produced for internationally acclaimed artisit in collaboration with .

Job Description:
1. Create event posters for a live performance featuring at the venue . The poster should give a feel of an "Official concert" poster. The client also provided examples (which I love)

2. Create event poster for a writing workshop featuring an open mic. Same artisit- different image. Cleaner layout and more neutral colours aiming at a different type of audience and showcasing the artisit's range.

Lessons Learned from Project: Always ask client the dimensions they need no matter what! Assume nothing 🤣🤌🏾
