Today we are using social media for one of the very positive things it can be used for. We are advocating for the health and potentially the life of our daughter-in-law, Kadian.
In June, Kadian had her cancerous thyroid removed and has now been informed that the cancer is in her lymph nodes.
If you would like to contribute to the treatments for this young mother of 3, any amount would be greatly appreciated. Prayers are also greatly appreciated.

Winter has arrived in our little corner of Canada. Not officially of course, that won't happen until December 21st, but with our first official snowfall today we Canadians know what is happening. Given this early and no doubt ongoing dip in temperatures, we need to be diligent about taking our supplements in order to do our best to avoid the sicknesses that are common in the winter months. Vitamin D is our friend in the North. We utilize other supplements that we believe in to maximize our health and keep us going strong. These supplements are proven to strengthen our immune systems by increasing the production of glutathione in our cells. With another birthday on the horizon, I am grateful that I can use proven supplements to keep me going so I can get to my favourite season.....Spring!

We've had an interesting few months and it got me thinking. Our 10th grandbaby was born in July and I was blessed to witness his birth. My 96 year old mother passed on September 24th and I was blessed to be at her bedside during her final days. Turns out that birth and death can be quite similar, if death comes by process and not suddenly. There is a struggle in both situations. It's also true that the life lived between birth and death routinely involves struggle as well. I hope that we can be mindful of that and help one another in any way we can in life, for that is our responsibility.

Several years ago we had to have a plumber come to our house to repair something. We made the appointment and a few minutes before the appointed time the plumber called to tell us that his truck had broken down and he had to have it repaired before he would be able to help us.
Was this plumber not motivated? Did he lack ambition? Of course not, being a plumber was his livelihood, so clearly he wanted to do his job. The problem was that his vehicle let him down and he was helpless to have success without it. The opportunities in life are similar. We can be motivated and ambitious but unless we are persistent in what we want to achieve, failure is almost guaranteed.Therefore, we do not give up or give in but we move ahead no matter the obstacles, set backs, disappointments. Persistence is how we will get there!

What are you thinking about today? Perhaps you are thinking about the things you would like to be doing on a holiday if we weren't in a lockdown situation.
