Apparently 67 is the new 25? Bravo to Doug The Great "World Record Stilt Walker" for his commitment and training to retake the record he has long held for the Guinness World Record stilt walk. At 67 years of age Doug is wearing stilts that are nearly 55 feet tall. The record requires 10 steps but in typical Doug The Great fashion, he has pledged to walk 25 steps and throw in some dancing just in case there was any doubt about the best stilt walker and the best city in the world. It all happens at Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre on October 21st as we celebrate the 10 year renovation of the our outstanding recreation centre and the other famous namesake that put Brantford on the map!

What a great day to take in a ball game! Enjoy outstanding Brantford Red Sox baseball, a short drive from wherever you live. Arnold Anderson Stadium sits close the scenic Grand River in a beautiful park, meticulously well groomed by the City Of Brantford Parks & Recreation team. Bring the family, make some memories and cheer on the hometown team as they dangle some bait for the Welland Jackfish. Admittedly, not the best tasting fish, but victory and tartar sauce makes anything taste amazing.

Game day! Join us on Brant Beacon night as we host the Welland Jackfish. Game time is 8 pm at Arnold Anderson Stadium.

The 10th South Coast Jazz Music Festival is celebrating their 10th anniversary with a star studded lineup spanning three days and shows in both Port Dover and Brantford. The Brantford show on Saturday, August 12th at the Sanderson Centre includes Mark Holmes of Platinum Blonde fame.

The City is pleased to announce the official opening of the new "Margot & Paul Williamson Pavilion" at Rotary Centennial Waterworks Park (400 Grand River Avenue) in Brantford. An event held yesterday recognized the tremendous efforts of all who contributed to the significant enhancements made to this area of the park.
