Recently, we've received a lot of calls in the local area regarding compromised systems and devices.

Below are some tips on how to prevent this from happening.

- Do NOT call a number that appears on your screen indicating your device has been hacked. No matter how real it looks, it's a trap.

- Do NOT allow anyone remote access to your device unless you are 100% sure they are trusted.

- Computer Technicians will NOT call you in regards to an issue. You will call them regarding your issue.

- If you believe your system or device has been compromised, immediately shut it down and give us a call.

- If you do online banking, call your bank immediately and have your passwords reset and/or request a new debit/credit card(s).
