We are pleased to have the Elm Tree Cafe opening for the season today! The Cafe is available for Garden visitors and members, open daily from 11am-4pm. The menu changes daily, so be sure to pop in each time you visit to see what new treats await!

The Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens is open daily from 9am-5pm, year round. And soon, we add our seasonal Elm Tree Cafe to the experience. The Cafe Staff is working hard to prepare for their opening weekend. We can't wait!

Spring is in the air, and the Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens is open for the season, daily 9am-5pm.
Adjacent to this lovely Knot Garden, our Elm Tree Cafe will soon be opening for the summer, on or about June 1. Stayed tuned in the coming weeks for further information!

And with that, another season has passed for the Elm Tree Cafe. We'll see you again in June 2026!

Just a reminder that the Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens remains open year round 9am-5pm as does the Gardens Shop, where you can pick up some great Nova Scotian gifts, including preserves and hot sauces created here at the Cafe!

We are entering the final weekend of 2025 for the Elm Tree Cafe, open 11-4 on October 17, 18 and 19 to finish up the season. If you get a chance this weekend, stop by for lunch or a treat during your Garden visit.

A note about holiday hours on this Thanksgiving Weekend...

A pumpkin coloured dahlia seemed an appropriate shot as we enter into Thanksgiving Weekend.
Holiday weekend hours:
- The Gardens are open every day, 9am-5pm. October special admission rates ($12.50 adults, no charge for kids under 18).
- The Gardens Shop is open 9am-5pm each day. (There is no admission charge to come as far as the Shop.)
- The Elm Tree Cafe is open 11-4 each day, for Garden visitors and members.

Today we welcomed our last Backroads group of the season. Backroads bicycle tours (and some hiking tours) have been visiting the Historic Gardens several times a week all summer long, and enjoying a buffet lunch at the Cafe. Thanks for coming Backroads... see you next year!

In addition to serving lovely lunches and sweets to our visitors, our Cafe staff are busily creating jams, relishes and sauces for sale in the Gardens Shop . Shown here are 'The Dream' purple/peach peppers, recently harvested from the Historic Gardens to make one of our great hot sauces. Watch for this and other creations this fall!

Among the mid September highlights are the dahlias, located in the Knot Garden right beside the patio of the Elm Tree Cafe. The Cafe is open today from 11-4 - drop by for coffee or lunch during your visit to the Gardens.
