The dog days of summer are well behind us now! It's truly the tail end of the season. The weather has been cooler this past week and yellow leaves are starting to show... that's been ruff as a summer lover!

On the bright side, when I was on a walk this evening I came across a treat! I was happy to see these bubbly personalities in the window! I might be biased, but I think this new window decal that's popped up for Daisy Grooming Salon is quite fetching!

Alright! Here’s the other big news – The Parent Support Network (formerly Dufferin Parent Support Network) has a new website design! The website features a list of their upcoming free workshops, a wealth of helpful resources, information about their organization and more!

The goal of the redesign was to create a website that would be easy to navigate and feel fresh. Again, much like the logo redesign the website reflects the joy in parenting. The candid imagery and light and cheerful colours used throughout the site help to make it feel airy and welcoming for visitors.

With the wide range of workshops and resources they offer - parents and caregivers can become more confident in their parenting skills - and now they can sign up and find the information they need more easily!

Is there any better time than this beautiful spring long weekend to unveil this new joyous and sunny logo design and rebrand?

Big News – Dufferin Parent Support Network has changed their name to The Parent Support Network! And stay tuned because there is more news to come!

If you're not familiar with this organization, they provide parents, grandparents, teachers, and caregivers with free workshops, resources, and community connections to build and develop their parenting skills! And they are celebrating – they've been helping families for over 25 years!

“We believe that through more effective parenting, children and youth will become all that they can be. They will develop emotional and physical well-being. They will be nurtured to believe in themselves, will be better able to handle life's challenges, and will make healthy choices.” – The Parent Support Network

The aim of the new branding was to capture the warmth and joy that comes with being a parent. The sun represents the light that shines through the challenges of parenthood, and the splashes of colour and fun typeface mirror the playfulness that comes along with raising littles!

It's the last weekend at The South Simcoe Theatre to catch the marvelous musical "Honeymoon in Vegas!" Don't leave it up to luck... go get those tickets because I hear the seats are filling up fast for this show!

If you can't make it - maybe see if you can enjoy their "Four Play" series (A Different Play Everyday!) ...or their Wing Ding Tea Room - the theatre's annual fundraiser... There will be strawberry shortcake! 🍰

If you're looking at the photo in the post and wondering "Hey, is that sign new?" ...It is! A few months ago I was tasked with creating a new sign for The South Simcoe Theatre, and I truly couldn't be more honoured that my work is now a part of the history of this amazing community building.

I'm very honoured to be working with the amazing talent at our local community theatre. It's so important to have spaces like The South Simcoe Theatre - for the community to have a place to come together, support eachother, the arts, and most importantly to have some fun.

I'm still here, and I have some praises to sing! I want to give special thanks to Scott Hurst, Richard Birch & Nancy Chapple Smokler!

Tonight is the opening night for Side By Side By Sondheim and I am so thankful that I got the chance to work alongside these amazing folks to create some of the imagery for the show.

To be honest, this was an eye-opening experience into the world of theatre for me, as going into this project I had no idea who Stephen Sondheim was – eek! (I know, I'm so sorry!) If you're like me and you didn't know - he was ONLY one of the most important figures in 20th-century musical theatre... Truly a brilliant composer and lyricist.

It was great to collaborate with the people at The South Simcoe Theatre to ensure "the little things" were captured so we could really honour Stephen Sondheim, his life and his work, the best we could.

Everybody says don't, but I say... break a leg!

I'm excited to see the show tomorrow night!

My plate has been pretty full lately, but I made room for this project! It was an honour to work with the The Good Shepherd Food Bank | Alliston to help them develop their new branding.

Keeping the knife and fork from their original logo, this fresh design will be more of an evolution for them. The semi-circle was transformed into a full plate, and we added the established date to tie in more of their history into the design.

If you didn't know, The Good Shepherd Food Bank grew out of a service that was started by Guy Belanger in 1994. He collected fruit and vegetables from his and his neighbours' gardens and delivered them to families in need from the back of his truck.

The Good Shepherd Food Bank continues to provide food and supplies to so many families in need. Thank you to all the donors and volunteers that continue to create a place for people to go when they need it.
