After 10 years in graphic design , i’ve been through the whole colour scheme! Which means that I accomplish certain tasks with my right hand such as using a computer mouse, and other tasks with my left hand, like writing! The last couple years I focused my energy on graphic design, on my computer. In March 2016, I rediscovered the art of Calligraphy and hand lettering, and so I put my left hand ba

ck to work. You could say, I took a slight shift to the left. This prompted me to make things happen. I’ve had this dream stirring up inside of me for a long time: owning a stationery store. With my great admiration for all things paper and design, I wanted to share with the community of Glengarry the beauty of this artistic universe. Les papiers Left & Write Paperie is a stationery and gift shop. Some products are local while some come from other parts of the world. Each and every one of them are curated by myself. “These are a few of my favourite things”! J’ai toujours été une passionnée de l’esthétique visuelle, de la perception et de la beauté. Après 10 ans en design graphique, j’ai vraiment passé à travers toute la palette de couleurs! Je suis ambidextre. Ce qui veut dire que j’effectue certaines tâches de la main droite, comme la souris d’ordinateur, et d’autres de la main gauche, comme l’écriture. Pendant les dernières années j’ai consacré mon talent au design graphique, soit à l’ordinateur. En mars 2016, je redécouvre l’art de la calligraphie et de l’écriture à la main. Je remets ma main gauche à l’oeuvre. On peut ainsi dire que j’ai fait un léger virement vers la gauche.

Ça m’a incité à réaliser un rêve qui mijotait en moi depuis longtemps : fonder une papeterie. Ayant une forte admiration pour les papiers et le design, j’ai voulu partager avec la communauté de Glengarry, la beauté de cet univers artistique! Les papiers Left & Write Paperie est une boutique de papiers fins et de cadeaux. On y trouve des produits locaux et d’autres, non locaux. Chacun d’entre eux sont choisi minutieusement. Ils sont tous mes coups de coeur!

10 years, countless pages, and still enjoying every program layout!

It’s been a while since I’ve shared here, but this one feels special. This year marked my 10th year designing the Glengarry Highland Games program!

Programs and magazine layouts are truly my favourite projects to work on. This year’s edition has nice little upgrades. Along with all the fantastic articles (seriously, I was so impressed this year!), we also introduced a brand new map and added colour-coded section headers & schedule to make the program clearer, more organized, and easier to navigate… a nice feature for this milestone year. 🤩

It’s always a pleasure working with each committee (all volunteers!) who bring so much dedication to the Games. They were incredibly responsive and made sure I had everything I needed to bring the program together smoothly all while meeting the print deadline.

The cover artwork was created by — always such a lovely collaboration.
