A Huge Favour From Our Family ❤️
I have a huge favour to ask of all my friends and family.
As many of you know, on December 3, 2025, I was walking up a set of stairs from a basement suite at work when I stood up and hit my head hard on an overhang. I was focused on the snow- and ice-covered stairs, trying to make sure I didn’t fall.
Since that day, I have been dealing with ongoing injuries and unfortunately have not been able to return to work yet. I am really hoping we are getting close to that point.
I have done everything that has been asked of me throughout this process. I have attended appointment after appointment, gone through months of physiotherapy, MRIs, bone scans, nerve testing, epidural spinal injections and more. I have never refused treatment or refused to participate in the programs they have asked me to do.
At the same time, I had been waiting years to see a gynecologist because of ongoing issues with endometriosis.
Then came another chapter of this whole mess.
I finally got my appointment with the specialist I had waited so long to see. I was diagnosed with endometriosis and was advised that a hysterectomy was the best option. After everything I had already been dealing with, I honestly thought, okay… maybe this is finally the light at the end of the tunnel. One problem being taken care of while I continued working toward getting better from my workplace injury.
Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned.
Just two days after my hysterectomy, WCB contacted me and told me that my benefits were being cut off, claiming that I had refused to participate in the program.
I have never refused to participate.
WCB knew about my upcoming surgery, but I was still cut off without warning. I was told that my surgery was not something they considered payable, and suddenly our family was left trying to figure out how to manage without that income.
So this is where I am asking for your help. ❤️
