*** SCAM ALERT ***
With the recent deployment of TELUS Fiber in our community the scammers have taken the opportunity to use this as a way to try and scam people. Please be aware to never let anyone you do not know access to your computer remotely. They will call and tell you that you are eligible for a credit and they will need you to access a special website to enter your details. DO NOT DO THIS. Just hang up on them. Please tell your friends especially the elderly to be very leery about giving out any details online/phone and never let any remote into thier computer.

I see this all the time where people abandon their devices computers, laptops cell phones and tablets with drive and data still intact.
This exposes you to identity theft, as well as your sensitive data being put in the wrong hands. Deleting your data is not enough.

Agassiz Computer Care offers this service 100% FREE. We can accept all devices and make sure they are safely and securely wiped before taking them to be recycled properly.

Facebook Account Hijack. I have been seeing this a bit more lately so I figured I would explain how it works so it doesnt happen to you.

It usually starts off by you getting a Friend Request from someone that is already a Facebook friend.
Next step is, they will message you stating that they were locked out of their account and need your assistance by sending you a code and asking for your phone number.

Don't ever give any codes or your phone number to anyone that you aren't sure is 100% your friend/relative.
An easy way to find out is ask them a question that you know they wont be able to answer properly. Such as if they don't have a dog, ask them they name of their dog. Or if you know they haven't been on a vacation then ask them about their trip to Hawaii. If they are your real friend they will know the real answer.
