GSM technology operates by using a sim card. When you push the push to talk button (PTT) the communication is sent to the controlling server via the chosen cellphone network.
The server then redirects the communication to the relevant radios that have been set up in the same group.

A computer can be set as a base station. Through the computer, you will be able to locate all your radios on a map. That way you will not need to hire a supervisor to go to all your sites, checking whether your people are on site. As soon as they press their radio to speak to you, you can know exactly where they are. Better still, all conversations are recorded on the computer.
