"We were at a YALI techcamp last year where me and my team realised how most people need access to digital content but are hindered by lack of access to internet and the cost associated with it. Which made us try come up with a cheap solution for the problem.
We decided to call it People Powered Network because it it is basically blended to our day to day activities or things we do very often like moving from one place to another. The project is based around integrating the networking in our day to day activities, that is, it powering it the simplest way and connecting people the simplest and cheapest way. It uses a raspberry pi powered by a mobile battery pack, allowing users to connect to the Raspberry Pi directly using its WiFI hotspot. The content that is accessed is hosted on the Raspberry Pi itself. In that way the Pi can be mobile"
