A surprising return at Costco is drawing attention online after reports surfaced of a customer bringing back a television originally purchased in 2002.

At the time, the retailer’s return policy on electronics was far more flexible than it is today, allowing items to be returned without the strict time limits now in place. The case has since sparked renewed discussion about how customer-friendly policies have evolved over the years.

Today, most electronic items at Costco are subject to a 90-day return window, reflecting a shift toward clearer and more structured guidelines.

While unusual, stories like this highlight the balance retailers try to maintain between customer trust and practical policy limits — and why return policies remain such a key part of the shopping experience

♻️

If you make a mistake and buy Hisense TV and ur TV screen crack, just throw it away.
1. Your warranty will be thrown away.
2. They will tell you accessories of your TV is out of stock
3. A price will later be quoted which will make you prefer buying a new one.

My 32 inch Hisense screen went off and after back and forth at Hisense show room I gave up and bought a new one.

Now my 43 inch screen is also gone and the kind of stories being told at their show room is just shocking.
My warranty is intact but they claim a TV I bought within 4yrs have no accessories in stock.

It means I should throw it away and purchase another one.

Many have similar complaints of their product and that fake warranty.

At least once you know you have sold such models , accessories must be available and at a reduce price.

Am done buying anything Hisense.
Unfortunately I have other Hisense appliances but it's not a big deal for me anymore.

A massive shoutout to Sony and Panasonic TVs 💪
Not only do they give you stunning picture quality and rock-solid durability…
but they also come with FREE Moon – Artemis II edition 🌕✨
(Yes, a seat on the shuttle. Free. No questions asked.)

But for other TV brands? 😬🤣🤣
20,000 P**a just to get into the shuttle.
And that's before we talk about your cracked screen. 💀

So remember:
Sony or Panasonic = Moon trip included.
Everyone else = Better start saving those P**a… and maybe bring tape for that cracked screen. 😅
