VACANCY: GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Sefalana Cash & Carry, a leading distributor of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) in Botswana, has an opportunity for a creative and self-driven individual to take up the role of Graphic Designer. The position is tenable at Sefalana Head Office in Gaborone.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
a) A diploma in graphic design, creative multimedia, or any relevant tertiary academic qualification or professional certification.
b) At least two (2) years’ work experience in an environment that primarily deals with graphic design, artistic illustrations, and desktop publishing.
c) A practical understanding of graphic design with a readily available portfolio of evidence that can be submitted upon request.
d) Conversant with market trends and able to capitalize on emerging and efficient technologies to produce excellent artworks.
e) Possession of strong creativity, problem-solving, and communication skills to develop suited designs and effective interaction with stakeholders.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Design artworks for sales promotion leaflets - weekly, mid-month, and month end sales promotions.
b) Design artworks for internal and external publications as per specifications set by management.
c) Observe the set timelines for completing assignments to ensure timely publication of the designs.
d) Update the products photo library as and when there are product changes (packaging, sizes, and descriptions).
e) Maintain a filing system for leaflets for past sales promotions and corporate branding designs to ensure easy reference and retrieval.
f) Ensure that the designs are consistent with corporate colors, corporate image, and standards/principles for effective branding.
