For IesBrazil, this week is about listening closely, meeting partners and peers, and reading the global conversation through a Brazil lens.

Exploration, seismic, AI, OSDU, cloud, data architecture — all of it matters.

But in Brazil, the question remains practical: What can actually be deployed, integrated, validated, and scaled?

That is the conversation we are following in Aberdeen.

Seven sessions worth watching through a Brazil lens during EAGE 2026 in Aberdeen.

Our selection is based on market applicability as we are watching for conversations that help answer a more practical question: what can international technology vendors learn about selling, deploying, integrating, and creating value in Brazil?

Brazil occupies a specific position in the global upstream landscape. It combines material exploration potential, complex subsurface conditions, sophisticated operators, demanding procurement processes, and a growing need for cloud-native, OSDU-aligned, AI-enabled workflows.

For that reason, the most relevant sessions at EAGE are not necessarily the ones that mention Brazil most often. They are the ones that reveal how the industry is thinking about reserve replacement, seismic selectivity, frontier exploration, data architecture, digital transformation, and the operational conditions required for technology adoption.

The Brazil opportunity is real, and we are here to understand which conversations can become executable opportunities in Brazil.

Attending ? This week we are in Aberdeen for the 87th EAGE Annual Conference & Exhibition, hosted by bp under a theme we take personally: "Maximising Value Through Technology and Partnership."

Personally, because for us "partnership" is not a buzzword. Brazil is not a market where a technically strong product enters on its own: someone has to build the local credibility, navigate the operator culture, and carry the implementation past the go-live point; where it keeps working when no one from the vendor is in the room. That is what Rodrigo and Neida spend their careers solving:

Rodrigo Eiras is our Executive Director spent two decades at the seam between vendors and operator adoption, with OSDU-aligned architectures from the storage layer up, seismic data pipelines and Spotfire systems built to outlive the consultant who built them.

Neida Ilana is our lead Geophysicist with international research experience in subsurface interpretation, petrophysics and programming, currently delivering interactive deep-learning and OSDU-based workflows inside the Brazilian pre-salt.

We will be on the floor on the buyer side, visiting vendors we already work with in Brazil, and a few we'd like to know better.
