etwork Computer (GTRedes-UFPA) in order to develop and stimulate network computer research communication and multimedia in North of Brazil.

-History
The original idea came from network computer students of the Post Graduation program in Electrical Engineering (PPGEE-UFPA) together with Ph.D Antônio Jorge Gomes Abelém professor, which aimed to solve a demand problem in the North region. Eight months later, the name of the group changed to its current one, launching its own website focusing on the development of researches involving undergraduate, master and specialization students.

Recebemos em nosso o workshop o Professoal Michael Stanton, palestrando sobre o papel RNP(Rede Nacional de Pesquisa) na criação e evolução da rede acadêmica no Brasil e no mundo!

Michael Stanton exerceu o cargo de diretor de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento da RNP no período entre 2002 e 2018. Doutor em Matemática pela Universidade de Cambridge, ele foi professor da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) e da Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). Contribuiu para a pesquisa acadêmica em arquitetura e engenharia de redes de computadores.
