Job title : Release Manager
Location : Qatar
*Contract based position

The role will primarily focus on maximising through put, productivity and profitability of the Technology team by collaborating with technical / production architects and developers in the definition and breakdown of releases within the current week, next week and last week focus and the management of team confidence and variance. The role will also be central to the management and progress of key business systems and infrastructure projects

Responsibilities

• Maximize through put, productivity and profitability of the technology team.
• Plan, manage and stabilize technology team releases / time boxes using agile approach.
• Collaborate with technical / production architects and developers in the definition and
breakdown of releases, ensuring fully understood by all and smoothly transitioned.
• Manage team activity focused on reacting and adapting to this week’s demands, planning next week’s work and stabilizing last week’s work.
• Support the completion of weekly resourcing / capacity processes for technology team
• Manage, monitor and report on technology team confidence / risk and task variances,
• Handling any team escalations with Program Managers.
• Generate enthusiasm among team members and facilitate effective team interaction.
• Review work of team and oversee the quality assurance.
• Plan and manage business and infrastructure project’s releases

Qualifications

At least one corebanking release management experience with T24
Having worked as Release Manager for large transformation programs
Extensive experience in release management best practices
Knowledge of Islamic banking highly preferred
At least 8+ years of experience
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
