A compact piece of Python code can look impressive. But is it still impressive when someone else has to understand it six months later?

Evghenii Goncearov, Python Engineer, believes junior developers should learn early to write code for people first.

A good example that he gives is a complex list comprehension with several conditions. It may work, but splitting the same logic into a few well-named functions often makes it much easier to understand and maintain.

For Evghenii, clear naming and simple logic are more valuable than clever or overly complex solutions that take extra effort to read.

Natalia Lantsuntsevich, DevOps engineer recently tackled a challenge involving more than 1,500 unmanaged Windows desktops running critical software.

The goal was to make every machine securely manageable through AWS without increasing infrastructure costs.

Using AWS Systems Manager, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and OIDC, the team automated secure machine registration and provisioning.

The result?

✔️ Full configuration time dropped from hours to less than 30 minutes per machine.

✔️ The operations team gained secure remote access and easier maintenance.

✔️ The solution cost $0 while creating a solid foundation for future improvements, including automated security patching.

Sometimes, the best engineering solutions aren't about adding more tools – they're about making better use of the ones you already have.

Opening our doors to students is one way we can help connect classroom learning with the realities of working in IT.

This month we welcomed eight 10th-grade students from the Professional High School of Electronics and Automation (PGEA), Sofia, for a two-week school practice program at our office.

During the program, the students explored the software development lifecycle, software testing, front-end development, .NET, databases, REST APIs, and more through a mix of practical exercises and real-world examples designed to give them a closer look at IT.

A big thank you to our mentors Donika Bivolarska, Krasimir Nedelchev, and Petar Kanev for dedicating their time and expertise to guide the students throughout the program.

Our team-building weekend in Greece had a little bit of everything: sunshine, great food, music, long conversations, and plenty of time together outside of our usual work routines. ☀️

One of the highlights was a beach challenge where teams had to build sandcastles. It was a fun way to work together, get creative while enjoying some friendly competition 🏖️

In real Salesforce projects, some Apex practices matter more than others.

One of our colleagues, Oleg Ishchuk, software developer, shared the approach we rely on every day:

✅ Write bulk-safe code — no SOQL or DML inside loops: Ensures your code works with large data volumes and avoids hitting governor limits in real scenarios.

✅ Use one trigger per object, with a clear handler pattern: Keeps logic organized and prevents conflicts between multiple triggers.

✅ Design with governor limits in mind from the start: Helps you build solutions that scale and don’t fail under real system constraints.

✅ Keep things simple and avoid hardcoding: Makes your code easier to update, reuse, and adapt to different environments.

✅ Write test classes that reflect real scenarios — not just coverage: Ensures your code behaves correctly in production, not just that it passes deployment requirements.

These are the practices that hold up as systems grow and complexity increases.
