What’s more, we’ve gone from a small Sofia dorm room to a trusted IT partner to industry leaders all over Europe, North America, and the Middle East - and a proud part of the global Synechron family. Building real relationships and delivering tangible value has always been our priority - and we’re proud to have been able to do that with so many of our partners across aviation, fintech, healthcare, transportation, and more.

A milestone like this deserves proper recognition. We kicked off the festivities with a week of summer office, working from the Bulgarian seaside. Then we moved to the Sozopol resort for the weekend, and had a gala dinner where we took a trip down memory lane, and revisited Dreamix’s history since its founding. The event was even more special thanks to Faisal Husain, who joined in the celebration.

42% of organisations cannot properly scale AI models because their data is poor-quality and siloed, according to IBM research. 88% of companies already use AI in some form. The gap between those two numbers is where most AI programmes stall.

Angel Dzhunev, Senior Data Engineer at Dreamix, wrote about why Databricks has become the consolidation point for enterprises serious about closing that gap, now standardised across more than 20,000 organisations globally.

The core architectural shift is the data lakehouse: open-source data formats stored in your own cloud account, with the governance and reliability a regulated business needs, but without the vendor lock-in of a traditional warehouse. Nucleus Research documented a 482% ROI on Databricks implementations, with payback in just over four months, driven primarily by eliminating the licensing, integration overhead, and governance complexity of running separate tools for data engineering, analytics, and AI.

"Databricks removes the biggest obstacle to enterprise AI: the gap between your data and your models," says Kalina Cherneva, Head of Data and AI at Dreamix. "When governance, engineering, and AI development share one platform, you stop managing infrastructure and start delivering outcomes."

Most AI agents in production today are running with a vulnerability surface most teams have never tested.

Last week, Dreamix hosted an AI Security Workshop led by external AI security expert Ivan Danielov Ivanov from Stihia, covering the OWASP Top 10 for agentic applications and the most common vulnerabilities in AI agents — including the risk of pulling a ready-made skill or MCP server from an unverified source without checking what it actually does once connected to a live system.

The session moved from theory to demonstration quickly. Ivan ran a live hacking demo against frontier agentic AI systems, showing prompt injection techniques in real time against models the team works with daily.

From there, the group worked through a hands-on exercise on Stihia Zmey - five escalating difficulty levels of prompt injection challenges, with prizes for clearing each one.

The conversation didn't stay purely technical. Some of the most interesting moments were the philosophical threads, what autonomy actually means for an AI agent, and where the line sits between a system that assists and one that needs to be treated as a potential attack surface in its own right.

Compliance teams at regulated financial firms are drowning in data: emails, chats, voice calls, social media, regulatory filings and the volume grows every year. Manual review cannot keep pace with it.

A leading compliance technology provider serving clients in 60+ countries faced two versions of this problem simultaneously: their clients needed governed AI they could trust, and internally, each product line was building AI capabilities separately, creating fragmentation, shadow-AI risk, and mounting maintenance costs.

McKinsey & Company estimates technology modernisation in aviation could deliver close to $45 billion in industry-wide EBITDA impact by 2030. Most airlines are still spending more than half their IT budget keeping legacy systems running.

We're happy to share that Georgi Nikolov, CFO of Dreamix, has been named CFO of the Year in the "Transformation of the Finance Function" category at the competition organised by EY Bulgaria.

It's the 10th anniversary edition of CFO of the Year - an initiative that has become one of the highest honours for finance leadership in Bulgaria. It's also the second consecutive year that EY lists Georgi among Bulgaria's best financial leaders - a testament to the consistency and sustainability of his achievements.

The gap between AI ambition and operational reality in air traffic management comes down to three things: engineering rigour, trust, and data quality. The technology is largely ready. The foundations beneath it often are not.

That was the sharpest takeaway from Airspace World 2026 in Lisbon last week, where Kostadin Ganchev, Tsvetana Emil Yaneva and Kiril B. Balev represented Dreamix across three days of sessions, exhibitions, and conversations with 7,000+ aviation professionals from 145 countries.

The AI sessions were consistent in a way that rarely happens across four different presenters. IFATCA's president drew the design boundary clearly: if another system makes decisions, controllers will not accept accountability for the outcome. AI in ATM must recommend, not decide and every recommendation must carry an explanation the operator can evaluate in real time.

DFS showed working systems on Azure, including a traffic forecast model that improved accuracy by 41% for Munich ACC. Indra demonstrated AI agents already integrated into controller working positions, validated with real controllers. EASA has set 2035 as the target for the first certified AI-based ATC solution that takes actions under human supervision. Until then, the value is in pre-tactical planning, engineering tooling, and AIM optimisation, and in fixing the data quality and interoperability gaps that AI cannot solve on its own.

On the infrastructure side, the picture is clear but uneven. CP1 benefits have reached €7.6 billion since 2014. Free route airspace is at 100% across Europe. FF-ICE is at 25% — the most delayed element in the entire modernisation programme, with a long road ahead.

The conversations the team brought back from Lisbon reinforce what we see in our own work: the organisations making real progress are the ones treating modernisation as an engineering discipline, not a vision exercise.

Most AI upskilling programmes share the same flaw: they happen separately from the work.

Workshops get scheduled, platforms get licensed, and engineers spend time learning tools they may never use on the next actual project. The knowledge doesn't compound because it isn't connected to anything real.

Dreamix CEO Stoyan Mitov contributed to a Forbes Technology Council piece on how tech leaders are balancing AI upskilling with delivery and his approach is straightforward: pair senior and junior team members on real client work. Learning happens fastest under real conditions, not in a training environment designed to remove the pressure that makes the learning stick.

The logic is simple. Give people room to experiment inside actual delivery, and two things happen at once: the work keeps moving and the team gets sharper. No separate programme required for every new tool.
