What is site page indexing? π£
π Site indexing is the addition of information about the site or its pages to the databases of search engines. The process can be compared to entering information into a library catalogue.
π Search robots are responsible for indexing - special algorithms that automatically check the site and process information.
π Search robots check everything: texts, pictures, videos, links, audio and much more. If the verification is successful, the site becomes indexed and added to the search engine database. Now users can find the site in search engines if the content on the indexed site is relevant to the query.
π If robots find a problem - for example, page content has low uniqueness - sanctions are imposed on the site. It can enter the database but will not appear in search results or receive organic traffic.
How to check the indexing of a site in search engines? π
The easiest way is to go to any search engine and enter one of the queries: π
π¦ Site: [site URL] - you will see all indexed pages of the site.
π¦ Cache: [address of the desired page] - you will find out when robots last crawled the page.
π¦ Site: [address of the desired page] - you will understand whether the search engine has indexed this page.
Why is website indexing so important? π
π When the site gets into the Google database, they are also seen by ordinary users who enter queries in search engines. Without traffic, a website or landing page has no value. The company does not earn anything if users do not visit the site. The result is zero attendance and zero profit.
π The higher the site in the issue, the more visitors and buyers. Indexing is the first step towards attracting organic traffic.
