Ah Blender, you frustrating piece of software! Well, I just created a non-existing wine label to showcase the newest script I’m working on. I really enjoy creating 3D compositions, but my workflow is rather slow (since I barely use Blender), my laptop is pretty slow and it doesn’t perform good enough to see what materials, textures and lighting I need to adjust to become a better result. Half of the time, I don’t really know what I’m doing 😂 but it’s good practice to just get into it 🤷🏻‍♂️

I 🖤 Chaos — Script font in the making

Ok, the constructions of these glyphs are a total nightmare, but I just need a first batch to see what I’m working with, so I can see what needs to be fixed and what alternatives and ligatures need to be added to give it a most natural feel. Thoughts?
PS: I have a huge zit on my nose. I think it’s important you know that. Please send thoughts and prayers 🖤 Thank you 😘

New script on the drawing board ✍🏼 3 cycling alternatives for each letter, initial s & r, and final glyphs (still have to add finals for some uppercase). I’m just working with a monoline here, and most letters are just a first draft, I’ll refine things later... I wish I could add more alternatives to the cycling, but I’m just working with the tutorial code here. I really am a total noob when it comes to coding, so I’m glad I can make it somewhat work for now 😂 Just checked, my working title is already in use, so ideas are always welcome! I’m thinking of making an illegible version as well, just for funzies 😎 Any thoughts or questions? Shoot! 🔫 Big hug, big kiss - Kristof.

Early stage Script Font ✍🏼

Celebrating our 10th Italian Winery in the shop, I have now over 50 different wines (mainly from Piemonte)! A little over a year ago, I started this adventure, and the amount of work we’ve put into it is so far is… C R A Z Y !

Now, after the Holidays, I’m glad it’s a little calmer, and I can find some peace in another one of my passions: D E S I G N !

This is just an early stage new script idea that I started last Sunday. Believe you me: the construction of the letters right now is hysterical 😂 We’ll clean it up later!

So, apparently, it is Solotine’s Day. I had forgotten to make a Valentine’s Day post, but I think this day is also worth mentioning. And other than the glyph menu I posted earlier, here’s a little text block (swipe ➡️) so you can have a better idea of the script I’m working 😉
Any thoughts? I’m still trying different things and will be adding some more features later on… Happy Solotine’s Day! … I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️ 😘

Variable Type WIP ✍🏼
Before spacing & kerning, it’s always a good thing to watch your letters in larger text blocks, just to look for anomalies like strokes that feel too thick or thin, letter widths that need to be adjusted,… I’m still tweaking here and there, but I’m fairly pleased with the overall look so far. Any thoughts? Do you see anything questionable?
