𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 - 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 🚀

Pixels → Depth → Context → Intelligence

That’s the journey C JayaKrishna will take us on at DevFest Belgium with his session:

“𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘗𝘪𝘹𝘦𝘭𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦: 𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘕𝘦𝘹𝘵-𝘎𝘦𝘯 𝘈𝘱𝘱𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘈𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘰𝘪𝘥 𝘟𝘙 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘌𝘥𝘨𝘦 𝘈𝘐”

Forget static 3D viewers. Imagine an app that recognizes the machine in front of you, anchors instructions right onto it, and answers your questions out loud while you work with your hands.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲’𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝗻𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸:
𝙱̲𝚞̲𝚒̲𝚕̲𝚍̲:̲ how to create and optimize 3D assets for Android XR, with cross-compatibility for Meta devices running on Android stacks
Interact: object recognition, spatial anchoring and gesture interactions to guide users through assembly, maintenance and training
𝙰̲𝚞̲𝚐̲𝚖̲𝚎̲𝚗̲𝚝̲: feeding AI with domain-specific content (manuals, training data) for real-time, multimodal assistance via voice and gestures
𝚂̲𝚑̲𝚒̲𝚙̲: performance, on-device vs cloud trade-offs, and architecture choices for production-ready XR
From industrial training to immersive education, you’ll leave with a clear view of how XR + AI can become scalable, practical solutions, not just a cool demo.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 | 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 🚨

❌ Étape 1 : choisir son outil IA
❌ Étape 2 : lancer des prompts à l’inspiration
❌ Étape 3 : espérer que ça tienne en prod

𝚂̲𝚙̲𝚘̲𝚒̲𝚕̲𝚎̲𝚛̲ ̲:̲ ̲𝚌̲𝚊̲ ̲𝚗̲𝚎̲ ̲𝚝̲𝚒̲𝚎̲𝚗̲𝚝̲ ̲𝚙̲𝚊̲𝚜̲.̲

𝗟𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲 : Rules, Skills, Agents, Hooks, MCP

New speaker announcement for DevFest Belgium 2026:

Andre Sara

Can you tell if a video is Al-generated or real?

Andre is a Google Cloud Certified Fellow and Google Developer Expert in Google Cloud and Al, with 25+ years of experience leading enterprise transformation across GCP, AWS and Azure. Field Chief Technologist, Chief Architect DXC Technology

His talk, “Democratising Al: Ethical and Responsible Development”, tackles a question every developer building with GenAl will face sooner or later: how do we make sure what we build is safe, fair and trustworthy?

Expect an interactive start (a game where you guess whether a video is real or Al-generated, and Gemini takes a guess too 👀), real stories of Al misuse and the cost of skipping guardrails, and a hands-on look at the tools that help: SynthID, Model Armor, and ways to protect your agents and LLMs from malicious actors and reduce bias and hallucinations.

Andre has already given this talk 12 times around the world, and it always sparks great conversations with the audience. Now it’s Charleroi’s turn!

❗ 𝗡𝗼𝘂𝘃𝗲𝗮𝘂 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲 : 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 ❗

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝘂𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 🚨

What does it take to migrate 10+ million VMs a month to the cloud without letting costs spiral? Miguel Alves and Sabrina Sales - from Scalabit - will show us in their Quickie, "From On-Prem Constraints to Cloud Velocity." ⚙️

The backstory: developers were sometimes waiting 10+ hours just for their tests to start, held back by limited on-prem resources.

The fix: a large-scale migration to GCP, with real engineering challenges along the way:
👉 managing the lifecycle of millions of ephemeral VMs
👉 taming hundreds of unversioned dependencies
👉 keeping costs under control
👉 making sure developers are never bottlenecked again

Next up on our speaker lineup: Rowdy Rabouw !

Rowdy is a Google Developer Expert in Web Technologies with over 25 years of experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. He's currently a Front-End Focused Senior Software Engineer at Nationale-Nederlanden, and runs his own freelance web development business. Passionate about usability and accessibility, he's also a curator at cfp watch, helping aspiring speakers find open calls for papers and when he's not shipping fast websites, he's behind an electronic drum kit making music on his laptop. 💻

Long wait times are the "Bowser" of good user experience, even the best-looking site falls flat with slow transitions or blank loading screens. Rowdy will show us how to level up with the "Power-Up" trio of modern web development: the Speculation Rules API for prefetching and pre-rendering pages before users even click, Service Workers for building a caching layer that keeps assets ready even when the network's out of lives, and the View Transition API for smooth, game-like navigation between pages.

You'll leave this session with the cheat codes to deliver a fast, seamless experience worthy of a "Mamma Mia, that's fast!"
