By building a future-proof platform in the AWS cloud, Crocus is able to gather information from multiple sources in a uniform and systematic way.

Besides her amazing work for BASF, this busy bee is responsible for two competence centers (Tableau and Power BI) and guides junior profiles through their first steps in the data world like no other.

Eefje has an amazing professional attitude and her energy is contagious for the whole team. She’s a creative organisator with a great sense of responsibility. With her holistic view and hands-on mentality, she always knows to get the best results!

Learning new things on a regular basis, that’s what we aim for at Algorhythm. One of our initiatives is our quarterly ‘Evening Session’, where we get together with the whole team and focus on internal knowledge sharing. 🧠

Last week, we got the chance to learn from Tim Schaeps, Solution Architect Data & AI from Microsoft.

He talked about:
✅ Azure (and Cloud) Basics, AI and Data in Azure
✅ Cloud Scale Analytics and Data Mesh
✅ Data Governance
✅ Microsoft training & certifications

Besides this, some of our own colleagues took the floor to share some of their insights. Kenan Ekici (Data Scientist at Algorhythm) gave an interesting presentation about MLOps and Pieter Verstappen (Azure Technical Lead at togaether) taught us more about CI/CD.

The average age of our team has dropped since this week. 📉
We welcomed no less than six students who will work on different data related issues during their internship at Algorhythm.

We find it important to show tomorrow’s data professionals how things work in a real business context, let them gather insights and further develop their personality. Experiences like this are only beneficial for their future professional career.

That’s why Ferre said: ‘I choose for an internship at Algorhythm because this is the ideal environment to improve my knowledge and skills about the different BI-tools. On the other side, I’ll get the chance to inspire others about the endless possibilities of data by consulting’

Turbulent times create uncertainty. People have to deal with information about war, economically negative expectations, expensive energy prices, etc. Information that is constantly changing and not always accurate, let people worry about the future.

This is precisely why we at Algorhythm and togaether try to create a safe work environment for our colleagues by putting open and transparent communication first.

Last Thursday, we attended a training that aligned with this mindset: “Building a resilient team”. The day was organised by the OECO Academy, in cooperation with The Tipping Point.

After the training, Wim Kelchtermans said: “It was an interesting day where we learned about the importance of mental health. We were handed some techniques to recognise warning signs and how we can bring them up as a conversation topic”

We are more than ready to turn our theoretical insights into practice!

New work for publiq vzw!

Transforming a three hour task into less than 15 minutes, that’s what we did for publiq in a nutshell. ⏱️

Publiq is a company that manages online calendars with leisure activities for example for UiTinVlaanderen and museumpas. The problem here was that there was still a lot of manual labor to do.

We have built an application that results in the automatisation of a repetitive administrative job. We chose a low-code approach using Apps Script on the development platform of Google.

We sat down with Karel De Rudder, manager data collection and processing by publiq and asked him about his experience of our cooperation.

Last weekend, we shut down our laptops and packed our bags for our annual trip to the mountains. ⛰️

Together with our colleagues of togaether, we went to Flachau in Austria for a weekend filled with skiing, snowboarding, friendship, laughs and sore legs. ⛷️

Having teambuildings is important because we believe that having fun together has a positive impact on the work we deliver as a team.
