Discovering who is behind the Open Coconut project helps understand why this project is worth looking at and giving it a try.

Benjamin and Laurent met 15 years ago and spent 12 years working together for Voxbone, a Belgian startup active in the VoIP sector. Over time it became a leader in the wholesale market and was one of the secret ingredients behind the success of communication majors like Zoom, Dialpad, Twilio, and many more.

For more than a decade, we built and operated a global network spanning the world. Setting up interconnections was one of the repetitive tasks we performed hundreds of times. This gave us many opportunities to identify the pain points this market has and think about how we could overcome them for our peers.

And all this wouldn’t be possible without those who supported us from day 1, those who challenged our initial ideas, and those who believed in us and invested in the project so we could make it real.
