We waited to share this until our disposable camera pics were developed—and it was worth it!

Our Cluedo Murder Mystery theme turned our boat dinner into a thrilling hunt for the "Mystery killer." Friction Fighters dressed up as fictional characters, and we solved the case together.

The night ended with an amazing dance party—laughter, great vibes, and even better moves. 💃🕺

𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞?
Yesterday we added 3 new talents to our team 🦸🏽‍♂️. We've revamped our employee onboarding process to roll out the purple-blue carpet for new Friction Fighters. Here's how we go about it:

🔷 New employees start their first day at 1 PM, ensuring they kick off their adventure fresh and energized with a doorstep-delivered breakfast and a personalized newsletter in their mailbox: 'Your First Daily Paper.' Who wouldn't want to start an otherwise stressful day with a delicious breakfast and high-quality literature?

🔷 They're warmly welcomed by Janne Kegels (our HR manager) and Hanna Vande Vyvere (one of the ‘ancien’ team members), who give them the inside scoop on Zero Friction and everything HR. We explain everything they need to know so they are armed against the question fire about their new job.

🔷 After setting up their equipements and tools, they dive into a personalised checklist for the first week so they don’t feel lost and can get over the practical stuff. As the Flemish saying goes: ‘A man prepared is worth two’.

🔷 We encourage new Friction Fighters to finish their workdays on time, especially during their first week, so they can process all the new information and impressions—and maybe brag to their loved ones about how great their new job is! 😉

💜💙 Last week, we headed on our yearly teambuilding with 38 (!!) Friction Fighters. Here’s what went down:

🏌️‍♂️ We joined a golf initiation at the beautiful Royal Golf Club Oudenaarde. Some hit the ball like pros, while others helped mow the grass
👕 We surprised the team with brand new sport shirts
🧗🏽‍♀️ In order to keep our new shirts dry, showing our true team spirit, communication skills, and giving each other a helping hand were crucial during 'The Teambuilders' activity at The Outsider (Oudenaarde)
🍕 Had a pizza feast dinner and the best tiramisu ever to refuel our played-out stomachs
🌃 To end the day, we explored Ghent’s nightlife - dancing the night away!

"Sniff sniff…👃🏽” Do you smell the aroma of freshly grilled meat on a BBQ? 🍗

That could be a residual from our annual summer bbq! Last week, our team and their loved ones gathered in the garden of our office for a cozy afternoon. We had cocktails, an overload of BBQ food, and the kids transformed into mini-Friction Fighters with their glitter tattoos on the unicorn bouncy castle. 🌈🦄

📣 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁!

SIED 70 is an energy syndicate that brings together the 539 municipalities of the -Saône department. Some of these municipalities have delegated the "district heating networks" responsibility to SIED 70. Thus, SIED 70 is in charge of developing and operating district heating networks in their territory, primarily powered by biomass boilers.

SIED 70 will soon be using the solution provided by Zero Friction to optimize billing and various interactions with the subscribers of its district heating networks.

We are proud to welcome SIED 70 to the Zero Friction community and look forward to a long-lasting collaboration. 🚀
