They should leave it as it is.

Bye bye IP68... bye bye waterproof/water resistance.
Don’t forget there is cohesive tape for a reason between those parts to open your phone . EU don’t want electronic waste but actually you will get more waste as no one will return the replaced batteries when they do it themselves. And those batteries will pile up in a lot of peoples drawers. Apple and all normal shops where you can replace those batteries recycle this waste.

And to be honest it’s not that difficult to replace a battery. Just YouTube it. It Takes max 15 minutes to do yourself with the correct tools.

The EU may force phone, tablet and wireless earphone vendors to use easily replaceable batteries for their devices.

What was already available in Russia almost 2 years ago finally made it to Belgium. Good news for travelers and expats who don’t want to switch their SIM cards in the middle of the flight ✈️ (📲 all the time 😉) Always embrace “new” technology. It’s indeed easier to swap between carriers but the ones that make this available from the start will gain from it. Another big plus is saving space in our phones and less plastic cards and chips.

Daarmee introduceert Orange als eerste telecomoperator de virtuele simkaart eSIM in België.

Don't forget to patch your Windows 10 / Windows Server 2016 and 2019 systems against CryptoAPI spoofing vulnerability!

A spoofing vulnerability exists in the way Windows CryptoAPI (Crypt32.dll) validates Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) certificates.

Taking the next step in a very interesting ICT world. I can’t wait to take on the next project and working as an independent engineer. It will be a challenging road but I’m not afraid to take this new path which will give me more fulfilment and joy. I have 19 years of experience in all the layers of the Infrastructure world. Started on an international ICT helpdesk in 2000 and worked my way up ever since.
