Our first remote proctoring of the season, live streaming multiple OR feeds between UZ Gent & Orsi Academy!🌐
Karel Decaestecker, one of Europe's frontrunners in robotic urological surgery, performed a robot assisted autotransplantation of the kidney last week.

Some months ago, mediAVentures was the first in Belgium to receive a Starlink ground antenna. Starlink's beta program "Better than nothing" will end in October and, though not officially confirmed, hopefully that means clearing the path for an official release. The first test results look very promising, and with more and more satellites deployed, speeds and latency can only improve!

One of the things that have changed the last few years, is the way that we record live cases. Nowadays, live surgery can be recorded using our Remote OR solution, where a camera and audio system are installed in your hospital, and all future recordings are done at our headquarters in Melle. We just upgraded our setup at the University Hospital Leipzig with brand new BirdDog P400 cameras and Jabra headsets this weekend, and are already recording the first cases today.
Of course, when more detailed imagery is needed we still send over one of our experienced cameramen to capture the finest details on-site.
