We fought as a team, we lost as a team and we won as a team. Although individual glory means little when we fail to accomplish our team goals and go ahead like we'd hope to, I feel blessed to have been able to contribute to the cause and humbled to have received so much support and love. Sorry for letting our millions and millions of fans down during this campaign but your dreams are our dreams too and we tried our best to make our nation proud. We will continue to strive to do better and hopefully one day we can achieve our goal and turn these dreams into reality. Thanks to the ICC, England and Wales for arranging such a wonderful tournament and making us all feel at home. Lastly, thanks to all of our wonderful fans for always being with us and loving us unconditionally. Until next time, Love - Shakib
জয়, পরাজয় কিংবা লড়াই- সব কিছুই আমরা কাঁধে কাঁধ মিলিয়েই করি। দল যখন ভালো করেনা ব্যক্তিগত অর্জনের মূল্য তখন কমে যায় অনেকটাই। বিশ্বকাপ জুড়ে দলের জন্য নিজের সর্বোচ্চটা দিতে পেরে নিজেকে ভাগ্যবান মনে করছি। ভালোবাসা ও দারুণ সমর্থন দিয়ে যারাই আমার পাশে ছিলেন সবাইকে অসংখ্য ধন্যবাদ। কোটি হৃদয়ের স্বপ্নকে বাস্তবে রূপ দিতে না পারায় স্বভাবতই হতাশ আমরা।
তবে, মনে রাখবেন আপনাদের স্বপ্নটাই আমাদের স্বপ্ন, আমরা নিজেদের সেরাটা দিয়ে জাতিকে গর্বের উপলক্ষ এনে দেয়ার চেষ্টা করেছি। কথা দিচ্ছি, জয়ের জন্য ভবিষ্যতেও আমাদের চেষ্টা থাকবে অব্যাহত। আশা করছি দারুণ পারফর্ম্যান্সে স্বপ্ন সত্যি করে সেদিন ঠিকই লক্ষ্যে পৌঁছাতে পারবো আমরা।
এমন দারুণ একটি টুর্নামেন্ট আয়োজনের জন্য আইসিসির সঙ্গে ধন্যবাদ দিতে চাই ইংল্যান্ড ও ওয়েলস ক্রিকেট বোর্ডকেও। একবারও আমাদের মনে হয়নি আমরা বিদেশে রয়েছি।
সুসময় কিংবা দুঃসময়ে যেসকল ভক্ত ও শুভাকাঙ্ক্ষীদের পাশে পাই আমরা, তাদেরকে আরও একবার ধন্যবাদ দিয়ে শেষ করছি।
