i block printed butterfly wings onto these matchboxes i handmade! inspired by my mom’s old pendant that i’ve been wearing lately, my dear .quinn suggested i carve that design 🦋

i have been absolutely loving to carve & print lately :) the element of surprise when you finish carving & do your first test print is so exciting!

my original inspiration for making matchboxes is the amazing illustrator .png ! while selling her own matchboxes at a miracle garden art market, annie opened my eyes to another surface i can put art onto.

it didn’t start as one, but a collaborative collage with 🎠 it was first born from sofi’s hands on the new years eve of 2024. since then i have added cut outs that felt like they fit in this little world/page that they started ❣️ thank you to bed stuy’s streets for the art history book that provided the images used.

bring the clothes you want to give, and take as much as feels right. everything that is left over is donated to local mutual aid groups that are in need.
